Behind The Apron
Meet Aki Goldberg
From the moment Aki stepped foot in New York at the age of 10, she knew she wanted to create a life for herself there. This passion only grew when she visited the Hamptons as a young girl and encountered a roadside farmstand where she discovered the beauty of fresh, vibrant, locally grown produce. Aki already had the love for food instilled in her from a young age from watching her mother and grandmother cook for the family. Years later upon returning to live on Long Island as an adult she found herself honing her craft at the East End Food Institute. Now, Aki has been able to bring her dreams to life and use locally grown, farm-fresh produce to keep the love she felt growing up alive in her cooking. To Aki, food is a language of love passed down through generations, now from her to you.

In addition to her culinary pursuits, Aki has recently joined the advisory board at Share The Harvest Farm, an incredible organization that has recently celebrated their 15th year of fighting food insecurity on the South Fork of Long Island. In 2024 they have donated over 45,000 pounds of fresh, nutritious, organically grown to local families in need.
Her commitment to health and wellness was recently recognized by the American Heart Association as she became the 2024 Leader of Impact on Long Island for the AHA.
